ABOUT US
Miner Farms started as a dream and has expanded into an experience of a lifetime. Our story starts with a phone call from a elementary school group that hatched chicks in a classroom, led to adopting said "chicks" (at about 8 weeks old), improvising a rough looking first "coop", adding a few more laying hens, and then kicking off the sponsorship of an after school high school club. From there we have expanded and grown, sharing more and more agriculture education with our community and adding different projects so our backyard experiment has grown into a small farm; quickly overshadowing our expectations and influencing more lives than we had ever imagined.
Our farm has grown to include a flock of about 100 (give or take a dozen) chickens and a turkey, 20 ducks and a goose, roughly 20 rabbits (give or take a litter here and there), 10 goats, a few dozen quail, a longhorn and a mini donkey, 4 dogs, 7 cats (that definitely help to keep the rodent problem to a minimum) 2 turtles, and 3 horses!

We provide locally raised eggs, meat, livestock, and pets as well a constant source of manure to enrich local gardens. We continue to work with local schools to provide quality agriculture education experiences for youth of all ages. We invite you to continue browsing through our site to learn more.
